Rockstar register domains for Grand Theft Auto 6 & 7 | N4G

Grand Theft Auto V hasn't even been officially announced, yet Rockstar may be considering even more entries in the series, if certain website domain registrations will have us believe.

A quick search of a domains directory shows that Rockstar have registered the following domains;
GrandTheftAuto6.com
GrandTheftAutoVI.com
GrandTheftAuto7.com
The domains were registered between June 2007 and May 2008 according to the Whois records.

So, what does all this mean? Well, don't get your hopes up. Whilst these domain registrations could suggest that Rockstar are planning on releasing Grand Theft Auto 6 and 7 at some point in the future, they could also mean that Rockstar are simply buying up the domains to prevent anyone else from using them. However, the very fact these domains are registered show some indication that Rockstar aren't thinking of dropping their flagship IP soon. I guess we'll have to wait for Grand Theft Auto 5 first before any future plans are laid bare.

Grand Theft Auto V development 'well underway' - News at GameSpot

Saying that Rockstar Games is working on a new Grand Theft Auto game isn't exactly a bold prediction. However, sources close to the Take-Two Interactive subsidiary have confirmed to GameSpot that the next installment in the blockbuster series is "well underway," and is already having final touches such as minigames being applied to it. The source said a 2012 release was "pretty likely."

Unfortunately, the sources would not divulge any further details on the project, which is already the subject of much speculation. A recent set of casting calls from a talent agency point to the game as being set in a Los Angeles-like metropolis, with a motley crew of California characters being filled for a voice-over session. Prior rumors had the game being set in the Miami clone Vice City.

As of press time, Rockstar reps did not have any comment on casting calls, the game's setting, or whether a new GTA was even in development.

Wherever the next GTA is set, it will have some big shoes to fill. Its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto IV, was a massive success for Rockstar and Take-Two. As of March 2011, the game had sold nearly 20 million copies, placing it amongst the top-selling games of all time. Its forbearer, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, sold over 12 million units globally, with its domestic 9.8 million-unit haul putting it in NPD's top 10 US best-sellers of the 2000's.

Gta V Pre Order Gamestation, PS3 News - GamerZines : Free Digital Games Magazines

GTA V has appeared for pre-order at Gamestation, a retail brand of the UK's largest specialist video games retailer GAME Group.

The images below, acquired by GamerZines yesterday, show a pre-order receipt dated July 1st 2011 for the Xbox 360 version of GTA V, as well as a release schedule published by the retailer.

According to our source, the release schedule has since been replaced by another that removes GTA V from the listing - but not before our tipster managed to pre-order the game.

GTA V has long been rumoured to be in development, and was expected by many to be announced during this year's E3.

Prior to E3, GTA V appeared on GameStop Germany's website marking it for a January 15th 2012 release, with sources at other publications saying a 2012 release would be 'likely'.

The game has also reportedly appeared on other retailers' release schedules in the US last month, but this is the first time it's been spotted in the UK.

Rockstar remains tight-lipped on the existence of the title.

GTA 5 will be released earlier rather than later, previous reports have claimed the next edition to the gaming classic will be held off until 2012 with a GTA 5 release date previously tipped as January 15th.

News: GTA V: Rockstar 'looking at LA Noire face tech,' says Bondi - ComputerAndVideoGames.com

That's according to Team Bondi co-founder Brendan McNamara speaking in the relaunched PSM3, on sale this week.

Asked if Rockstar was considering MotionScan for GTA V, McNamara replied:

"Yeah, I think they're looking at it for every game. As much as LA Noire is a huge game, Grand Theft Auto is incredibly huge, so you've got all the problems of how big the cast would be and how many lines would you have to record and all that kind of stuff.

"Obviously we'd like them to, and they're more than welcome to use MotionScan, but if they decide it's not right for that and want to use it for another game, then that's fine too."

The Team Bondi head - who faced flak last month for alleged unfair working conditions at the Australian studio - claimed MotionScan would bring a sense of "humanity" to Rockstar's other series.

"I think it brings a level of humanity to the experience that means people will - in the first few minutes - start relating to the characters on screen," he said.

"They don't have to make that decision about 'whether I like this guy' or 'do I actually believe them? - but they can make all the like or dislike decisions based on the actor's performance.

"Rockstar will make those decisions. They generally make the right decisions in terms of what they do for their games."

si eu sunt de acord cu voi ca era frumos San Andreas-ul cu plimbarile pe la munte,la tzara si multe altele.
In gta 4 au scos multe chestii,tuning-ul la masini,pariurile etc.
Desi mi-a placut foarte mult nu m-am simtit asa cum m-a simteam cand jucam Sanandreas acum 4-5 ani.
Numai puteai sa te duci la sala,iar hainele din gta 4 nu prea mi-au placut.

Sunt exact de aceiasi parere , insa nu ar strica inca putin role-play , fumat , sa poti cumpara benzina pt masina , sa iti iei propria masina , propriul celular , sa adauge din nou tunningul (f important din p-ctul meu de vedere) , casinoul si mai important : un online putin mai dezvoltat unde sa poti face mai multe inafara de plimbat si kill...
