Amazon.co.uk has announced the launch of a new video games trade-in service that will enable customers to exchange their unwanted games and accessories for store credit on their Amazon.co.uk account, which is issued as a Gift Card upon acceptance of your games.
Trading-in with Amazon.co.uk is quick and easy, providing customers with a great way to exchange their old games and save money on future purchases, said Chris Poad, director of video games at Amazon.co.uk.
There are three steps to take when you trade-in your games at Amazon.co.uk:
- Select Items Search for eligible items to trade-in and find out how much youll receive for each item
- Send Items Free of Charge Print a delivery label and packing slip, package your items and post them at no cost
- Get a Gift Card An Amazon.co.uk Gift Card will be deposited into your account upon receipt of games which are accepted
Trade-in prices are guaranteed provided that they are postmarked within seven days of submission and items are received in an acceptable condition.
This will no doubt come as unwelcome news to the games industry at large, which loses a large amount of its revenue to used games, with 25% of UK retailer GAME's overall profits coming from sales of traded-in merchandise.
So, you can stay at home and trade your games for credit. You need never leave the house ever again! Check out Amazon.co.uk's new Video Game Trade-In Store at
