XCOM apare in 2012 si pe PS3
Publisherul 2K Games va lansa un reboot al seriei X-COM pe 9 martie 2012 in Europa si pe 6 martie in USA. Initial a fost anuntat ca fiind exclusiv X360, insa 2K Games a dezvaluit recent ca jocul va aparea si pe PS3. Noul titlu va fi putin diferit fata de ce ne-a obisnuit seria, acesta axandu-se spre o perspectiva "first person". Presedintele companiei 2K, Christoph Hartmann, este foarte incantat de acest proiect: �Every time I think of XCOM it gives me the chills, the kind that come from standing witness to the corruption and destruction of your world as you stand powerless to prevent it,�
