Part Two of Six for the tutorial on how to get all items plus maximum Laurels, Garlic, and hearts while still getting the best ending. Just need a little patience to pull it off, but it's fairly easy. Remember to abuse the fact game-time stops while in buildings and where to wait till dawn, then everything comes into play.
Basic outline:
Get holy water first.
Get rib, stake, and 256 hearts in 1st mansion.
Go to town 2 and wait until dawn by far door.
Buy chain whip, go to church if need, buy dagger.
Return to town 1, buy crystal.
Back to mansion 1- 256 hearts again.
Get sacred flame on way to town 3, wait 2nd closed door from left till dawn.
Go to town 3- get crystal, buy garlic, laurels, silver knife.
Go to mansion 2, get heart, stake.
Should be near daybreak, no heart for ferry man yet
get red crystal (just in case you die getting diamond a few times).
Return to river and go to 3rd mansion using Heart.
Get diamond, eyeball, stake, 256 hearts.
Cross river again, get silk bag.
Day 4 daybreak 2nd story middle shop- morning star
Get some laurels if you need em- enough left over (far right shop).
Take whirlwind to mansion 4.
Get nail- do not bother with stake unless bored.
Get flaming whip.
Go to mansion 5- get cross, ring, fill up on laurels
best place to LV up- normal people kill Dracula.
Perfectionists- go left and wait by door furthest left for garlic- don't use laurels (to guarantee 256 hearts by end).
Go to town 2 for full health.
If timing's right, get health town right of mansion 4 kill Dracula.
