Google doarme cu Google Pay. Daca ei nu ma vor, sa fie sanatosi, urmatorul telefon va fi de la Apple dupa mai bine de 5 ani de android.

Nu sunt sigur, nu am incercat personal, dar citisem un post pe Facebook al unui amic, in care spunea ca poti sa pui .apk-ul si ca functioneaza. Again, no ideea. Eu personal, de-abia astept Apple Card... sa scap de "teama" cu revolut. Ca sa nu mai spun ca aplicatia revolut se comporta bizar rau. Deh, rusi...

Un pic off topic, dar care e teama cu Revolut? Nu stiu la ce il folosesc oamenii in general, dar la ce am avut eu nevoie, mi s-a parut foarte ok. (plati in monede diferite cand am calatorit sau cumparaturi online). Curs bun, mai putin in weekend, ca deh. Am si retras, totul ok, doar o singura problema o data cand bancomatul nu a eliberat suma cand eram in alta tara, si tranzactia aparea pending. Am rezolvat in 10 minute pe live chat. Nu as sugera nimanui sa isi tina economiile de-o viata pe Revolut, nici macar salariu. Dar pentru restul, cred ca isi face treaba cu brio.

Chestia cu rusii e relativa. Nu poti stii sigur, dar fii sigur ca oricum toti spioneaza si colecteaza date. Apple, Samsung, Huawei, etc. Google nu mai zic. Au deja destul despre toti :)

Ce probleme aveti cu iOS 13?

Eu efectiv m-am saturat in astea cateva zile de cand il am, de problemele pe care le am. Astept cu foarte mare interes iOS 13.1 :|

Cele mai enervante si de care ma lovesc zilnic sunt:

• Cand vreau sa dau share la poze pe whatsapp, imi crapa aplicatia photos
• Cand vreau sa dau scroll rapid in poze (in sus), imi crapa aplicatia photos
• Cand vreau sa dau click pe o poza mai veche de ultimile 2-3 zile, in loc sa o incarcare, apare un "!" in dreapta jos si asa ramane, desi iCloud photos este activ.
• Cand vreau sa dau internet pe alt device, pica semnalul (apare si dispare reteaua pentru celalalt device, indiferent ca-i mac, windows sau iphone/ipad) si efectiv nu te poti conecta la el
• Cand deschide orice pagina de internet in Safari sau Chrome, primul impact este o eroare mica, in partea de sus, care-mi spune ca a trebuit refreshuita pagina pentru ca nu a raspuns (sau ceva de genu)
• Multe aplicatii pornesc si se inchid instant, including Smart Mobile de la Raiffeisen pe care o folosesc mai des (si din ce stiu, are update pentru iOS 13)
• Crash la Mail app destul de des
• Nu mai merge sharing la reminders (Aveam o lista de cumparaturi pe care aveam share cu sotia)
• Cand deschid cutia de AirPods langa telefon, 1 din 10 dati imi mai arata cum se conecteaza castile ca sa vad cata baterie mai am
• Din Files app, cand incerc sa downloadez niste fisiere pe care le-am pus de pe Mac, ma tot lovesc de eroarea "you can't save the file because the volume "Data" (uneori apare doar "/") is out of space" in conditia in care mai am peste 10GB available on iCloud.

O alta chestie enervanta este faptul ca au lasat si 3D Touch, dar si "noul" tinut ca sa apara meniul, iar asta inseamna ca daca vreau sa rearanjez sau sterg ceva, trebuie sa trec prin cativa pasi. Ar fi trebuit ca pentru terminalele care au 3D Touch sa functioneze cum era inainte.

Bonus - faptul ca au bagat sectiunea de updates din AppStore in "analele" aplicatiei :wall:

Eu am Beta 13.1, in afara de 2 puncte din ce zici acolo care nu am incercat niciodata, nu am nici o problema si nici nu am avut.
Folosesc Whatsapp cam 3 ore pe zi, aplicatia cu Poze iar, Mail toata ziua....

Pai Beta 13.1 am auzit ca e mega stabil. Din acest motiv se grabeste si Apple cu lansarea si-l scot acum pe 24 desi era programat pentru Octombrie.

E ciudat ca nu ai avut nicio problema de genu, pentru ca e plin internetul de asa ceva. La o cautare random uite ce am gasit (vezi inclusiv comentariile).

Oricum, poate depinde si de modelul de telefon.

razvanrazy: la mine nu se manifesta niciuna din problemele de mai sus. Nu a crashat nimic, nici pe iPadOS, nici pe iOS. iPhone 8 Plus si iPad Pro la mine. Am vazut niste mici glitch-uri... dar pana acum nu ma pot plange de nimic. Incearca sa instalezi pe curat.

P.S. Da, urasc si eu treaba cu 3D Touch-ul (pe iPhone), dar pe iPad e mai destept noul mod.

Din pacate, nu functioneaza pe cele noi. Dar, daca ar reveni Cydia cu toate cele (la vremurile bune de alta data), mi-as lua un X sau ceva, doar pt. varianta cu Jailbreak.

Din fericire, exploitul nu afecteaza enclavele de securitate, TouchID and stuff (that would've been a really bad thing for everyone). Chiar sunt curios cum va evolua treaba. Nu de altceva, dar de multe ori am vazut anuntate super mega exploit-uri, patchuite a doua zi de Apple.

Pt cei care jucati COD - a aparut COD Mobile pt Iphone. (Se poate conecta si controla si cu controllerul de PS4). E foarte frumos facut jocul. Si e FREEB-)

A New Way to Discover and Use Apps with App Clips

An App Clip is a small part of an app experience designed to be discovered the moment it is needed. App Clips are associated with a particular product or business, and load within seconds to complete a specific task, such as renting a scooter, purchasing a coffee, or filling a parking meter. They can be easily discovered and accessed by scanning a new Apple-designed App Clip code, or through NFC tags and QR codes, or shared in Messages or from Safari, all with the security and privacy expected from apps.

Powerful Updates to Conversations in Messages

Messages is central to communicating with friends and family, and now it’s easier to stay connected and quickly access important messages. Users can pin conversations to the top of their messages list, easily keep up with lively group threads through mentions and inline replies, and further customize conversations by setting a group photo using an image or emoji. New Memoji options in Messages are even more inclusive and diverse with additional hairstyles, headwear, face coverings, and more.

Greener Ways to Explore and New Guides in Maps

Maps makes it easier than ever to navigate and explore with new cycling directions, electric vehicle routing, and curated Guides. Cycling directions take into account elevation, how busy a street is, and whether there are stairs along the route. Electric vehicle routing adds charging stops along a planned route based on current vehicle charge and charger types. Guides provide a curated list of interesting places to visit in a city, created by a selection of trusted resources. Guides are a great way to discover hot new restaurants, find popular attractions, and explore new recommendations from respected brands, including AllTrails, Complex, The Infatuation, Time Out Group, and The Washington Post, among others.

Enhanced Privacy Features for More Transparency and Control

All apps will now be required to obtain user permission before tracking. Later this year, App Store product pages will feature summaries of developers’ self-reported privacy practices, displayed in a simple, easy-to-understand format. In addition, users can upgrade existing accounts to Sign in with Apple, choose to share their approximate location with app developers rather than their precise location when granting an app location access, and get even more transparency into an app’s use of the microphone and camera.

Additional iOS 14 Features

- Translate is designed to be the best and easiest app for translating conversations, offering quick and natural translation of voice and text among 11 different languages. On-device mode allows users to experience the features of the app offline for private voice and text translation.
- Siri expands its knowledge, helps find answers from across the internet, and can now send audio messages. Keyboard dictation runs on device when dictating messages, notes, email, and more.
- The Home app makes smart home control even easier with new automation suggestions and expanded controls in Control Center for quicker access to accessories and scenes. Adaptive Lighting for compatible HomeKit-enabled lights automatically adjusts the color temperature throughout the day, and with on-device Face Recognition, compatible video doorbells and cameras can identify friends and family. The Home app and HomeKit are built to be private and secure, so all information about a user’s home accessories is end-to-end encrypted.
- AirPods gain the ability to seamlessly switch between Apple devices with automatic device switching. Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking brings a theater-like experience to AirPods Pro. By applying directional audio filters, and subtly adjusting the frequencies each ear receives, sounds can be placed virtually anywhere in a space to provide an immersive listening experience.
- Digital car keys give users a secure way to use iPhone or Apple Watch to unlock and start their car. Digital car keys can be easily shared using Messages, or disabled through iCloud if a device is lost, and are available starting this year through NFC. Apple also unveiled the next generation of digital car keys based on Ultra Wideband technology for spatial awareness delivered through the U1 chip, which will allow users to unlock future car models without removing their iPhone from their pocket or bag, and will become available next year.
- Find My will add support for finding third-party products and accessories with the new Find My network accessory program. This will allow customers to use the Find My app to locate other important items in their lives, in addition to their Apple devices. User privacy remains central to the Find My network with end-to-end encryption built in. A draft specification is available for accessory makers and product manufacturers starting today.
- Safari offers a Privacy Report so users can easily see which cross-site trackers have been blocked, secure password monitoring to help users detect saved passwords that may have been involved in a data breach, and built-in translation for entire webpages.
Health has all-new experiences to manage sleep, better understand audio levels that may affect hearing health, and a new Health Checklist — a centralized place to manage health and safety features — includes Emergency SOS, Medical ID, ECG, Fall Detection, and more. Health also adds support for new data types for mobility, Health Records, symptoms, and ECG.
- The Weather app and widget keep users up to date on severe weather events and a new next-hour precipitation chart shows minute-by-minute precipitation when rain is in the forecast.
- Accessibility features include Headphone Accommodations, which amplifies soft sounds and tunes audio to help music, movies, phone calls, and podcasts sound crisper and clearer, and sign language detection in Group FaceTime, which makes the person signing more prominent in a video call. VoiceOver, the industry’s leading screen reader for the blind community, now automatically recognizes what is displayed visually onscreen so more apps and web experiences are accessible to more people.

The developer preview of iOS 14 is available to Apple Developer Program members at developer.apple.com starting today, and a public beta will be available to iOS users next month at beta.apple.com. Mi se par foarte cool toate update-urile. Da, stiu, vor veni cei cu Android si vor spune ca aveau si ei de mult timp. Well, no problem, sa vedem cat de repede le vor copia. :))

Individual nu e cine stie ce, dar ca ecosistem e de departe cea mai buna experienta.
Nu ma refer la functionalitati, ca asa se gasesc aplicatii similare / chiar mai bune si pe Windows / Android.
Ce ma incanta: detasat, cumulat am cei mai putini nervi facuti pe iDeviceuri.
Sunt o multime de detalii marunte / sincronizari, e extrem de bine gandita experienta asa cu sistem "semi-inchis".
Si culmea, eu inca am 6S, si aparent voi primi IOS 14, telefon vechi de 5 ani de zile :D
Am publicat acum cateva luni o aplicatie simpluta pe IOS, programul lor de developeri (care nu e perfect are si el ceva probleme) e fenomenal. Pentru un dezvoltator extern, aplicatiile pe IOS sunt mult mai usor de intretinut, au mult mai putine issues, si efectiv Apple pune la dizpozitia dezvoltatorilor absolut orice, inclusiv si servicii de stocare cloud gratis. Eu nu imi imaginez alta firma sa vina cu un ecosistem "semi-inchis" care sa faca fata la asa ceva.

LE: daca ar fi sa pun un pariu medium-long term eu cred ca Apple mizeaza mai mult pe monopolul la capitolul ecosistem, decat la deviceuri hardware.

Mie imi place că nu se mai cramponează în a menține același look & feel câte 5-10 ani, de parcă ar fi consolă. Au devenit îndrăzneți, deschid cât mai mult ecosistemul, dau mai mult acces developerilor, vin cu API-uri noi, cu engine-uri care să te ajute să treci și pe iOS/MacOS... Acum și cu widget-uri și management al iconițelor, cizelate toate cele în stilul lor tipic. Eu merg în paralel și cu iOS și cu Android, și deși am jde mii de opțiuni pe Android, am ajuns să îmi doresc un OS mai simplu de folosit, cu cât mai puține issues... cu alte cuvinte, m-am îndreptat spre OxygenOS sau UI-uri care nu fac altceva decât să încerce să imite iOS-ul. De la animații și până la gestures. Asta dovedește că e bine gândită treaba la Apple acolo, nu contează pentru mine cine pe cine copiază.
