Eu sper sa vina cu ceva cu adevarat nou. Pentru mine GoW 2 a fost GoW Episode 2, nimic altceva.

Am jucat GoW pe PC, apoi pe 360. Joc de nota 10, incitant, placut, actiune la superlativ, poveste ... Rejucat de 4 ori. Vine 2, mdea, bun, dar Episode 2, nu GoW 2.

Cam acelasi lucru ca in God of War, daca ai jucat 1, restul sunt deja vu.

Gears of War 2 este mai mult decat episode 2 (si implicit mult mai bun decat Gears 1) pt:
- Better story / story telling (am inteles ca 2 a fost scris de alt writer)
- More character background (iti e mai usor sa intelegi si sa te atasezi de personaje cand stii mai mult despre ele, decat doar cand le folosesti sa omori locusts)
- More moves (human shield, regular shield, te poti tara spre colegi cand esti down, ei se pot tara spre tine, etc)
- More "action sequences" (riding the Brumak, the reavers, etc)
- Level variety

nivele la suprafata, nivele in subteran, nivele in orase de suprafata scufundate in subteran

- Alte lucruri minore precum collectibles (not just cog tags), live achievement status, etc

Get into the Beta by preordering Gears of War 3 through select retailers. The Beta begins April 25 and ends May 15.

For those of you who purchased the Bulletstorm Epic Edition (on Xbox 360 only), you get early access to the Beta, beginning April 18.

Three new multiplayer modes and four exclusive maps will be rolled out during the Beta period -- all running on dedicated servers. This is your chance to help shape the most anticipated game of 2011.

In the Beta you can play Team Deathmatch mode on the four new maps (Thrashball, Checkout, Trenches, and Old Town); Capture the Leader and King of the Hill gameplay modes will be added later in the Beta period. Also, be sure to look out for a surprise event weekend that you won't want to miss.

Thrashball Cole -- Unlock Thrashball Cole to play as Augustus Cole as he was before Emergence Day -- a legendary Thrashball athlete known for his ferocious, flamboyant style.
Complete 50 matches in any game type to unlock for the Beta period.
To permanently unlock, complete 10 matches as Thrashball Cole during the Beta period.

Gold-Plated Retro Lancer -- Before the chainsaw bayonet was deployed at the beginning of the Locust-Human War, the original Lancer assault rifle had a large fixed blade.

For Gears 3 Multiplayer, Failure Is Not an Option

The Gears of War 3 beta launches in late April, six months before the game hits store shelves. Back in 2008, Epic Games did not have a beta of Gears of War 2 and the result was an online multiplayer experience that was broken.

Epic's design director, Cliff Bleszinski, understands. When asked why Epic chose to launch a beta for Gears of War 3, he responded: "Because if we release Gears 3 and it has the same launch as Gears 2 online then the franchise is dead. So you can't afford to make that mistake twice, right? And to be fair over the course of the six title updates, we got Gears 2 in a very good position. And we need to take it to great. And that's what this will help do."
