Ever since
God of War I and
II were remastered and re-released on the PS3 as the
God of War Collection, gamers have been anticipating more and more HD collections. Following suit, came the
Sly Collection late in 2010. Then, at Tokyo Game Show, was the
massive announcement of the
ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection.
Two more HD collections have been since announced for
Splinter Cell and
Tomb Raider, but we were only given vague 2011 release dates for each. Recently,
the release date for the Splinter Cell Compilation was outed, and today we’ve received word on a release date for the
Tomb Raider Trilogy.
Looking to start the year off right, as well as aid in the destruction of our wallets, the
Tomb Raider Trilogy has been given an official release date. The
Tomb Raider Trilogy will consist of remastered HD re-releases of
Tomb Raider: Legend and
Anniversary, as well as
Tomb Raider: Underworld which was already released on the PS3. Adding to this already great package, is the addition of the static theme pack (for your XMB), as well as a Lara Croft and Viking Thrall avatars, which you can use in PlayStation Home.
Look to get your hands on this great collection, when it hits store shelves on
March 22nd for just $39.99
