Additionally, we have learned that Microsoft is drastically overhauling its certification process. The company will use a model similar to iTunes and is targeting a 14-day turnaround for an approvals. Instead of extensive code checking, the company will be looking for terms of service violations and significant bugs.
We've also been told, but cannot confirm, that every Xbox One unit can be converted to a debug console. Instead of specific hardware units, Microsoft can authorize a console ID to play pre-release code. This is in line with information we've received about a new process for beta tests. They will be run via hardware provisioning on Xbox One, with the process reportedly to be enabled for up to 25,000 users per test at launch. Given the ability to provision for beta testing, the ability to enable retail hardware for pre-release code seems feasible.

If there's one thing you can rely on the average, halfway-intelligent and means-conscious human being to do, it's ask for stuff to be cheaper. In the case of Xbox One, there's a simple little equation attached: why not slice a few tenners off that RRP by removing Kinect from the package? After all, Kinect is rumoured (very firmly without official confirmation) to be almost as expensive to manufacture as the console itself, and given the less-than-tremendous state of current generation motion gaming, is unlikely to be among the main reasons Xbox One buyers shell out.
It's a view I can sympathise with, despite my unfashionable fondness for Fable: The Journey and Steel Battalion. Contrary to public perception, writing about games is neither a well-paid pursuit nor your ticket to never having to fork out for another game or console, ever again. I literally can't remember the last time Steve Ballmer carried me to the office on his immense, avuncular shoulders, or posted any diamond-encrusted special editions through my letterbox. For all that, though, I think those who insist on regarding next gen Kinect as an unnecessary expense are missing the point by a fair few lightyears.
For starters, dumping mandatory Kinect after the example of Microsoft's recent online DRM U-turn may not be a practical possibility - Xbox One has literally been built for the sensor, and it's rather late in the day to go fiddling around at the level of the hardware itself. But there's a philosophical point at stake, too. The crux of the matter is thus: we need to stop calling Kinect a peripheral. However dim your view of the new sensor's capabilities and/or usefulness as a "real" gamer's device, the fact remains that it's now as integral to Microsoft's console offering as the Wii U's tablet controller is to Nintendo's - a day-one core component, rather than a mid-cycle layer of mainstream-courting, market-refreshing paint.
Where removing online DRM isn't incompatible with Xbox One's status as a digital-centric machine, tossing Kinect away for the sake of a price cut means tossing away part of the console's identity. To treat it as a superficial commercial differentiator, easily abandoned, is to misunderstand how Microsoft expects the industry to evolve over the next 10 years. Built-in Kinect is the firm's attempt at staying ahead of an evolving marketplace to which buttons and controllers are increasingly, wait for it, peripheral, forced at best to share the stage with so-called "natural user interfaces" like voice, motion and touch control.
The latter are mainly of relevance to mobile gaming at present - mobiles, after all, generally come with cameras, touch screens, motion sensors and microphones built in, irrespective of their subsequent gaming applications. But you can bet your bottom currency of choice that they'll be key to the console market eventually, particularly once companies like Google and Apple unveil their own, voice or motion-assisted living room solutions.
This explains the urgency with which Microsoft has stepped up its operations on these fronts - to the point of carving off fixed lumps of processing and memory allowance for Kinect's exclusive use. Where the current gen sensor has to compete with other services for power and is therefore inaccessible in some circumstances, the new version gets a dedicated share of system resources, which allows it to offer the same features wherever you are and whatever you're doing.

So ..... mai pe scurt : Kinect nu este un accesoriu, este built-in, Xbox One a fost construita pentru Kinect 2.0, nu invers.... Deci slabe sanse sa fie eliminat din pachet pana in toamna asa cum si Wii U vine cu controllerul-tableta la pachet.
Si totusi fanii PS4 vor trebuii sa achizitioneze si ei PS Eye+ Move (Sau PS Vita) deci pana la urma nici pachetul PS4 nu iese atat de ieftin luand accesoriile in calcul.
Oare? Eu nu cred ca va trebui sa am PS Eye / Move / Vita / ca sa ma joc pe PS4
La Xbox One Kinect e intradevar built in a.k.a fara el nu se poate. La PS4 PS Eye / Move etc. sunt accesorii, nu esti obligat sa le ai ca sa te poti juca ca si pana acuma.
Man m-ai inteles gresit ! Fa un topic unde sa intrebi cati din viitorii posesori de PS4 si-a achizitiona si PS Vita + PS Eye pentru a completa experienta de utilizare a consolei ( Nu uita ca Vita va primi streaming video de pe PS4, deci il poti folosi ca si gamepad jucandu-te in alte locatii jocuri instalate pe PS4 prin Wi-fi), si vei observa ca multi vor zice ca si-ar cumpara !!! Da, intradevar la Xbox One - Kinectul e obligatoriu si la PS4 - Vita e optional. Dar trebuie gandit altfel, per total costul pachetului este asemanator, pe unii ii deranjeaza doar ca sunt obligati sa-l cumpere, nu ca nu si l-ar lua ulterior...
Nu am inteles nimic gresit. Tu ai zis ca toti fanii PS4 vor trebui sa isi cumpere PS Eye / Move / Vita - iar eu te-am contrazis, nu vor trebui.
Ca experianta PS4 poate fi extinsa de catre PS Eye / Vita asta e alta poveste - dar NU este ceva de care sa nu te poti lipsi daca vrei sa te joci pe PS4 si nu cred ca se simte cineva obligat sa isi ia PS Eye sau Vita dupa cum afirmi.
(Am Vita si probabil imi voi lua si PS Eye impreuna cu PS4 dar NU ma obliga nimeni si nu e imperativ sa am una din cele mentionate ca sa ma bucur de PS4)
Inteleg ce ai vrut sa zici in postul original - ca daca mai adaugi PS Eye / Move atunci experianta Playstation va fi mai asemanatoare cu cea oferita de Xbox One, si ca pret - atat ca nu iti impune nimeni asa ceva daca nu esti fan motion gaming etc.
Desi e off-topic, aduc si eu in discutie faptul ca PS Eye nu are OS dedicat si nu mananca resurse cand sta degeaba. Reamintesc ca din cauza aceasta (Kinect plus TV), Xbox One nu lasa decat 5GB RAM disponibili pt. gaming, in timp ce PS4 lasa 7GB RAM. O fi bine, o fi rau... nu stiu. Eu spun doar ce au declarat cei de la Microsoft si Sony...
Mi-as cumpara Battlefield 4, dar stai, ca trebuie sa-mi cumpar si o tableta. Nenoricitii astia de la EA, ma pun sa dau 360 de dolarei pe joc.
Cam asta e logica pe care te bazezi cand spui ca PS4 necesita vita pentru o experienta completa, djleo.
Pentru o experienta completa va reamintesc ca va trebuie si un minim 55" FullHD, un sistem audio performant precum si o casa pe masura*!
