Ca utilizator de ipad din 2018 (ipad 128gb model 2018) update-ul la ipad os 15 mi-a luat gandul de la upgrade anul asta, mi-a transformat laptop replacementul intr-un si mai bun multitasker. La partea de safari, cand am ajuns acasa acum am ramas like wow pot face atat de multe cu atat de putin? Buton de meniu stanga sus cutoate functiile grupate foarte intuitiv (pentru mine, vorbesc strict de experienta mea), buton integrat de multitasking in aplicatiile care suporta, cu pictograma pentru a selecta partea in care doresti sa iti aseze aplicatiile,zoom out in multi tab mode si posibilitatea de deschidere folder separat pentru a grupa taburile pe categorii. Foarte misto, acum pot avea taburile pentru munca grupate separat.
Inca nu am testat tot dar la o prima mana imi place ce vad. Sa vedem cum se descurca zoom meetings si presenter 10 si cred ca iar dau o fuga pana in Eindhoven si lucrez remote doar cu ipadul. Editarea video se misca destul de decent pt. un ipad vechi de 3 ani.

Pe iPad Pro (cel cu M1) vreau sa zic ca zboară... Nu că ar fi mers rău înainte, dar cred că au mai optimizat ceva, și se folosește mai eficient de extra RAM (față de celelalte iPad-uri). Adică la un moment dat deschisesem peste 50 de aplicații și jocuri, m-am întors la prima (care era Safari), și nici măcar refresh nu a făcut, a încărcat instant.

Da, micile tweak-uri aduse la iPadOS fac diferența. Chestia cu grupurile e genială... Also, dacă mergi în Settings - Safari, ai opțiune de a ține separat tab bar-ul de search bar, sau dacă vrei mai mult spațiu pe ecran, ai opțiunea de a alege Compact Tab Bar.

iPadOS 17:

Apple today previewed iPadOS 17, delivering entirely new ways for users to personalize the Lock Screen and interact with widgets.

Working with PDFs is easier with AutoFill, which intelligently identifies and fills fields in forms, and Notes brings a new experience for marking up and collaborating on PDFs.

Messages gets significant updates, including a new stickers experience, and users can now leave FaceTime video and audio messages.

The Health app comes to iPad with interactive charts, and HealthKit enables developers to create innovative experiences designed for the iPad display.

iPadOS 17 is available as a developer beta today, and will be available as a free software update this fall.

Au rupt cu noul iPad Pro... cu siguranta i-au enervat pe multi care tocmai ce si-au luat ultima nebunie (MacBook Air sau MacBook Pro) cu M3, si zbang, vine Apple si trage lansare la un iPad cu M4! Mkay, n-are MacOS pe el, but still...

Fun fact: se pare ca variantele de iPad Pro cu M4 care vor avea capacitate sub 1TB (adica de 256GB si 512GB), vor avea mai putine core-uri, si exista zvonuri (deja e confirmat) ca vor avea si mai putin RAM (8GB RAM vs 16GB RAM). Deci, daca vreti "the latest and greatest", trebuie neaparat varianta de 1TB sau 2TB. Also, acel "nano coating" anti reflexie se va regasi doar pe variantele de la 1TB in sus. Pe bogatie, cum ar veni...

P.S. Pe mine ma ingrijoreaza la Apple cand vad ca la astfel de lansari, bat moneda pe tot felul de editoare video, audio, etc. E bine, nu zic nu... dar ca sa poti arata ce poate un astfel de GPU, vino si tu macar cu un titlu, doua... ceva gaming serios, macar un benchmark care sa te lase cu gura cascata. Ca atunci apare efectul WoW!
