    E primul si singurul lor joc. Din 2018 in development (nu stim cati angajati/an au fost, probabil doar in ultimii 3 a fost munca intensa, de cand au facut parteneriatul cu PlayStation in 2021, apoi cumparati in 2023). Face parte din strategia GaaS prezentata in 2022 cand au cumparat Bungie:
    “Through close collaboration between Bungie and PlayStation Studios we aim to launch more than 10 live service games by the fiscal year ending March 2026.”
    Ryan a plecat, dar au ramas Totoki si Hulst. Probabil vor revizui strategia.

    E urât că s-a ajuns aici și îmi pare rău de timpul pierdut al developerilor, dar cred că e cel mai bun lucru care se putea întâmpla.
    Au nevoie de câteva eșecuri imense ca să se trezească din goana după următorul Fortnite.
    Parcă e poezie cum un joc ca Wukong bate recordurile în timp ce live-service-urile eșuează.

    I spoke extensively with someone who worked on Concord, and it's so much worse than you think. It was internally referred to as "The Future of PlayStation" with Star Wars-like potential, and a dev culture of "toxic positivity" halted any negative feedback. Making it cost $400m.

    Situatia aparent a fost mult,mult mai rea.Jocul pana sa ii cumpere Sony avea deja buget bagat in el de 200M$,iar dupa achizitionarea Firewalk,Sony a mai bagat in joc inca 200M $ facand-ul cel mai scump joc 1st party si in acelasi timp.. cea mai mare gaura.

    Ah Firewalk, acest Robin Hood al jocurilor video. A luat $400M de la investitori bogati si i-a distribuit la niste angajati care nu au facut nimic. Nu vi se pare si voua minunat?

    $400 milioane e de neinteles. Zicea Sony ca jocurile single-player, cum e TLOU, sunt scumpe, dar acolo ai vanzari. Un joc multiplayer e riscant, hit or miss.

    Au bagat 400 de milioane de $ cu gandul o sa scoata poate miliarde in microtranzactii, vor si ei un joc ca Fortnite, Genshin Impact, League of Legends unde ai incasari mari in ficare luna la nesfarsit.
