First inFamous 2 gameplay coming next week

Sony released an official trailer for inFamous 2 at E3, though we’re still waiting to see actual in-game footage of the title. On the bright side, it looks like fans won’t have to wait much longer. According to an official episode description on Spike, the first InFamous 2 gameplay will be featured on the next episode of GameTrailers TV.

We go behind closed doors with the creators of the Deadliest Warrior: The Game and reveal never-before-seen characters, highlight the weapons behind the mayhem, and get feedback from the cast of the show as they get hands on with the game for the first time. Plus, we debut the first InFamous 2 gameplay, take a first look at Sony’s next existential voyage: Journey, and highlight the first space combat from Halo Reach since E3.

InFamous 2: Behind-the-scenes at Comic Con

Sucker Punch has released a behind-the-scenes video which chats with inFamous 2 game director Nate Fox and others about the firm’s presence at Comic Con this year.The developers are hosting a panel at the event tomorrow from evening called “From Origin to Evolution: The Making of a Modern Day Superhero for the Videogame World,” and will discuss topics like: how inFamous was made, comic inspirations, and insights into what the teams hopes to accomplish for inFamous 2.Some artwork will also be shown, plus one of the first 2D cutscenes from the new game.

This information comes straight from the inFamous 2 Comic-Con panel…

- Comic cut-scenes from the first game are returning
- New cut-scene was shown at Comic-Con
- inFamous 2 being made faster because a number of tools from the first game have already been developed
- inFamous 3 not ruled out, but the team says they are still working on the second game
- Not set in stone whether or not saves will carry over
- City in inFamous 2 chosen because they wanted players to recognize the setting easily, and Empire City was mostly destroyed
- Ideas for powers in the first game that weren’t used haven’t really come into play for the sequel
- Fan feedback have influenced inFamous 2, including people’s opinions of Cole and his voice
- Should be able to move about the city more quickly with new abilities
- On multiplayer: No announcement today, but fans were told to “stay tuned”

inFamous 2's developer's tease Multi-Player, Move and 3D support announcement's

At the inFamous 2 Comic-Con panel the game's developer's from Sucker Punch hinted that the game would indeed have multi-player, as well as Move and 3D support.

With a sly smile the development team on the panel had this to say when asked about the possibility of multi-player.

"A lot of people on the floor have been asking us the same questions, which is, multi-player, about the Move technology and 3D support. We don't have any announcment on that today, but again stay tuned."

For fans of the first game, the idea of Move and 3D support together is a match made in heaven. Just imagine gliding from roof top to roof top in 3D while taking out foes with your Move controllers in hand.
