VG247 Blog Archive Red Dead Redemption multiplayer detailed in Dutch gaming mag
Looks like Gamer.nl Magazine has the scoop on the multiplayer mode in Red Dead Redemption, which Rockstar has promised to unveil on April 5.According to the magazine, which has been out for about a week now, the multiplayer is without a lobby and instead starts out in free-roaming mode.
Here’s a excerpt from the mag:
Read Dead Redemption has an extensive multiplayer mode. Instead of a lobby, it begins with a free-roaming multiplayer mode where players can run freely through the game world. They can form gangs with other players they meet there, and this transition can be computer controlled bandits.

Rockstar Network - PSM: 'The Greatest Multiplayer Lobby in the History of Videogames'
The title speaks volumes for Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption. They claim in the article that the lobby is basically a "wild west MMORPG". The lobby is a fully playable version of the entire game that's populated by CPU characters and live gamers!
A few of the multiplayer highlights from the magazine were:
- Create a "posse" and roam freely about the map
- Engage in hunting wild animals, to hunting other gamers
- ad hoc missions (like besieging a desert ranch filled with bandits)
- Gain experience points which can be used to customize appearance and upgrade horse, weapons and "title"
- Unlock new multiplayer modes like the standard 16-player deathmatch and team based "capture the bag"
interesant jocul, foarte interesant... sa fiu sincer nu prea ma interesa acest titlu, dar de cateva zile (de cand am vazut cateva trailere) a devenit brusc unul dintre cele mai asteptate jocuri din 2010, pentru mine.
Si eu am fost in aceeasi situatie pana nu demult... nu stiu de ce, dar aveam impresia ca titlul asta o sa fie asemanator cu Call of Juarez, ceea ce pentru mine ar fi insemnat no buy. Insa un Desperados meets GTA suna much much betterinteresant jocul, foarte interesant
Parca as inclina catre RDR , uite lista de bonus-uri la preorder : Rockstar Games Presents Red Dead Redemption , vs. Lost Planet 2 , care primeste doua harti mp bonus la Gamestop. Cam "miros" hartile bonus a dlc pe bani pt altii $$$ . Poate sunt eu mai comunist , dar studentul care taie din banii de club si de bere sa-si poata permite si el un joc amarat pe luna , nu merita sa primeasca acelasi joc cu acelasi content ca toti ceilalti? Moda asta cu preorder si collectors edition devine din ce in mai abrupta , in sensul ca vom ajunge sa jucam jocuri total diferite in cativa ani. Ok , acum rant overSi sa stiti ca nu e cazul meu cel prezentat mai sus , am terminat studiile de ceva vreme , dar imi aminteam si eu cum era .
