PlayStation Plus on PlayStation Vita Gets Timing, Set to Launch with Instant Game Collection

We announced back at Gamescom that PlayStation Plus would be coming to PlayStation Vita (PS Vita), and today we’re pleased to announce that our premium game membership will make its debut on PS Vita in November, providing an Instant Game Collection to PS Vita owners along with the same features that many of you already enjoy for PlayStataion 3 (PS3).

If you’re already a PlayStation Plus member on PS3, you’re in luck—you will automatically be able to also enjoy all the PlayStation Plus features for your PS Vita at no extra cost.

PlayStation Plus features for PS Vita available in November will include:
- Instant Game Collection: Unlimited access to a regularly refreshed selection of the full versions of games as long as your membership is active.
- Discounts: Take advantage of exclusive discounts on games and DLC for your PS Vita.
- Online Game Storage: An additional 1GB of online storage for game saves for PS Vita games and downloaded content.
- Automatic Updates: PS Vita will automatically start up at a designated time to download and install select game demos and game updates as well as system software updates and start standby mode upon completion.
- Automatic Trophy sync: Trophy information will be synched to PSN servers automatically via the PS Vita.

TGS: A Handful of New Vita Game Announcements - IGN

You’ve probably heard by now how incredibly underwhelming Sony’s press conference at Tokyo Game Show was, but there were a few new game announcements for PlayStation Vita worth noting.

For starters, Valhalla Knights 3 will be coming to PlayStation Vita in 2013 (at least in Japan, though the first two games in the series were released in the west, so it’s safe to assume the new one will also leave its native country). You can read about Valhalla Knights and Valhalla Knights 2 -- both PSP titles – while you wait for more information on the series’ third game.

Next up is Oboromuramasa, which the west knows better as Muramasa: The Demon Blade. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because it came out on the Wii back in 2009. It will be coming to PlayStation Vita with some visual updates, as well as new gameplay features centered around the Vita and some new content. It, too, is due out in Japan in 2013. Feel free to read our Wii review while you await new info on the Vita iteration.

Next up is Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus, the next iteration in the Senran Kagura videogame series. Two previous games – both on Nintendo 3DS – came out in the last year, though neither made it out to the west. Out of all of the games mentioned in this article, this one’s the least likely to be localized outside of Japan.

Also worth noting is the fact that God Eater 2 -- already announced for PSP -- will also be coming to PlayStation Vita. The two versions will actually interact with one another, so gamers on Vita can play with friends on PSP and vice-versa. The original God Eater came out in the west -- we thought it was okay -- so expect at least the Vita version of the game to find its way out of Japan.

Other titles we already knew about were shown off at various times as well, ranging from the new Ys and Legend of Heroes games to a fresh Gundam game, Phantasy Star Online 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Soul Sacrifice – the new game from Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune – was also shown-off again. Sadly, it has been delayed.

"We tell our PlayStation fans all the time that what the Wii U is offering is something that Vita and PS3 can do quite easily. It's dependent on the content. So we need to make sure the content isn't force fed. And, to us, making sure that the gamer receives the right type of experience is what's most important. Am luat joi LBP PS Vita de la Altex si am jucat tot weekendul numai jocul asta. Sincer este cel mai bun LBP pana acum. LBP 1 sau 2 mi se par mai slabe comparativ, cateva probleme au fost rezolvate din primele doua jocuri (de ex cand sari cu grapling hook nu se mai ridica personajul in sus pe franghie fara sa vrei, e mult mai usor sa sari si mai sunt altele) si sunt o gramada de mini-jocuri incluse (gen whack-a-sack ,tetris, un fel de angry-birds, space hockey si multe altele). Plus la asta puteti crea singur jocuri noi sau nivele aditionale, puteti downloada nivele create de altii si juca in multiplayer.
Superb joc, nota 10 de la mine, grafic vorbind arata la fel de bine ca LBP 2 pe PS3, iar pe ecranul OLED se vede impecabil.

FIFA Soccer 13 for PlayStation Vita Reviews, Ratings, Credits, and More - Metacritic

Users on Metacritic have given Fifa 13 for PS Vita a 0.4/100 rating, users have been claiming that the game is simply just a copy and paste of Fifa Football (the predecessor) one user states:

DON'T BUY this game! Got my copy of Fifa 13 for Vita yesterday (9/24) and it's REALLY DISAPPOINTING. If you have the previous one it's pretty much the same game.

Sony Was Surprised How Few People Wanted To Make Games For Vita

Why is the PlayStation Vita floundering? One reason is that people just weren't interested in developing games for it. At least that's what Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida believes.
"One thing that was surprising and disappointing to us was the [lower] number of third parties to come out [in support] after launch," Yoshida told Gamasutra in an interview published today. "...In retrospect, there are so many options for publishers now that we cannot take it for granted that our new platform would be supported by third parties, like [it would've been] many years ago."
Also surprising and disappointing for Sony must be the fact that Nintendo snagged Monster Hunter 4 as a 3DS-exclusive. Monster Hunter was a monumental success on PSP, which is one of the reasons Sony's last handheld is still enjoying healthy sales in Japan.
Yoshida's goal: get more games!
"We've been working harder with our third party relations department to secure more content for PS Vita," he told Gamasutra. "...We are confident that we have the right hardware platform that we have with PS Vita."

N-ar fi deloc idee rea, insa aplicatiile alea trebuie portate... Sau trebuie sa scoata ei un android pt consola lor si sa permita un dual boot cumva. Dar ma indoiesc ca asa ar atrage multi cumparatori noi, cine vrea tableta isi cumpara ceva de min. 7", eu personal nu prea vad rostul unei tablete sub 9-10". 5" e mult prea putin, sunt telefoane cu ecrane mai mari...
