@boga. Daca ii dai new game, s-a terminat.
Da, intr-adevar freezy are dreptate.

Heavy Rain Paved the Way to Mature Gaming | PlayStation LifeStyle
You may be thinking to yourself, “Hold on a moment, there’s already plenty of Mature rated games on the market,” and you would be correct in that line of thought. However, up until Heavy Rain‘s release, a mature and dramatic plot line based heavily on decision driven gameplay was quite rare, if not virtually non-existent. David Cage thinks his successful game has opened the path way for more of its kind to have a place in the industry.
Heavy Rain is an unusual game, and upon its release many were skeptical about whether or not it would be successful. It involved an unusual game mechanic by using context sensitive QTEs for all interactions within the game world, and based progress on the player making decisions which effected the characters and outcome of the events around them. The result was a surprisingly engaging experience, which draws the player in through emotional attachment to the character’s lives and a dramatic mystery plot line. When speaking to CVG, David Cage commented on his game and the barriers it has broken down within the industry:If I may, I would like to add a message for all the people who supported us and bought Heavy Rain, and to all my colleagues in the industry who voted to give awards to Heavy Rain. I would sincerely like to thank everybody for their trust and support, and for having made Heavy Rain a real success. It looks like Mr. Cage isn’t done busting down barriers yet either. While he stated previously that a direct sequel to Heavy Rain is unlikely, his development team is currently working on another IP. Details on Quantic Dream’s upcoming new IP are scarce, but Mr. Cage stated:
This game granted credibility and respect for the ideas that we believe in, and I am convinced that Heavy Rain has and will open doors to others to approach interactivity in different and more mature ways.
I always said that the success or the failure of the game would send a strong message to the industry. This is now done. Thank you to all the people who believed in us and gave Heavy Rain a chance.
We are working hard to invent the next revolution after Heavy Rain, and to surprise all the people who believe in our vision and to convince the others that games can become a more meaningful medium. If you enjoyed playing Heavy Rain then this should sound like fantastic news. One can only speculate on where Quantic Dream will take us next with their unique development direction. If you haven’t tried out their hit title, check out our review to see why you should pick up a copy and experience it for yourself. If you have, then what else do you think they have in store for us in “the next revolution”?
GDC 2011: Heavy Rain Sold 2 Million and "Game Mechanics are Evil" - gamrFeed
Felicitari celor de la Quantum DreamsDuring his Post Mortem on Heavy Rain, David Cage had some interesting statistics about his game to share as well as a relatively deviant outlook on gaming in general. He was proud to let everyone know that Heavy Rain has officially sold almost 2 million copies, but more interesting was that apparently the game was completed by 72% of those that started it instead of the 20% average for most gaming. He attributes this to the games more story focused design and called on developers in the room to move beyond the game paradigms of the last 30 years of levels, bosses, inventory, and all those things you usually expect to be in games.
He commented that games as they are now are almost all designed towards teenagers or children and that we should be focusing more on gaming for adults. Story and gameplay are too divided in the current framework of game, cut scene, game, cut scene, and Cage mentioned that for story driven gaming its imperative that the two are intrinsically linked. If game developers can bridge this gap they can make story a bigger part of the game and start to bring in a new market of gamers who weren't satisfied with the previous standard.
Probably his most controversial point was that gaming mechanics are evil. We dont have enough buttons for one button to do the same action regardless of the situation because that only leaves you with ten or so possibilities and if you want to tell a story through gameplay thats like having only ten words to use for your novel. He argued that the context sensitive interface in Heavy Rain was a great solution to this problem because you could now use those same ten buttons for a multitude of different actions increasing your vocabulary from 10 to 1,000,000.
Im sure all of this will sound like blasphemy to anyone with a Princess Peach bed spread or Tinkle Popo tattooed on their back, but love him or hate him at least David Cage is saying something different.![]()
Heavy Rain sequel ruled out
Heavy Rain developer Quantic Dream is not interested in making a sequel to its multi-BAFTA winning PlayStation 3 crime saga, so says studio boss David Cage.
acuma vad si eu :">. My bad.
`At Wednesday’s Video Game BAFTAs, PS3 exclusive interactive drama Heavy Rain scooped the awards for technical innovation, original music and story. As soon as the ceremony finished, I braved the media room – which was a scrum fiercer than anything at this year’s Six Nations – to grab an interview with David Cage, Heavy Rain’s writer and director.`...

Cage: New Quantic Dream tech ahead of LA Noires | VG247
Cred şi sper că vor anunţa un nou joc la E3-ul de anul acesta .Heavy Rain creator David Cage has said Team Bondis specially-developed Motion Scan technology is a dead end, and that Quantic Dreams new technology is already more advanced.
"We see a huge difference between shooting the face and body separately and shooting everything at the same time. Suddenly youve got a real sense of acting that is consistent. You cant imagine how related what you say with your face is to what your body does, he said.
With the technology we use, we can improve; there is a lot of room for improvement and we hope to show very soon where we are now.
Cage said his team had made significant progress since Heavy Rain, and expects to equal Avatar over the next few years.
Cage: Quantic in discussion with Sony over E3 reveal | VG247
This is in discussion right now with Sony, Cage told CVG when asked about an announce in LA in June.
Well see. I cant really answer anything on release dates. We are in production right now, so nothing will be coming out this year for sure.
We learned a lot doing [Move for Heavy Rain]. We need some time to think about it and see how we can create even more exciting experiences, he said.
Maybe there will be more devices in the near future in the same direction but which work slightly differently that will open new ground. I can clearly see how DualShock is the end of an era and we need to move to something else as an industry.
He continued: I dont know if Kinect or Move are the ultimate answer. Its up to console manufacturers to bring [a new device]. But something will happen, hopefully soon.
