Rumblings Of Quantic Dream Acquisition by Sony

Sony and Quantic Dream have been part of a cosy relationship as of late with Heavy Rain releasing exclusively on PS3. David Cage, studio head at Quantic Dream has stated that Sony and Quantic Dream are currently in a publishing deal for it's forthcoming titles.

Horizon, a game currently rumored to be in production exclusively for PS3 may be revealed by Cage at E3 2011. Horizon is one of two titles which may make an appearance at Sony's press conference. Featuring a sci-fi story about a couple, this could surely make a splash at the conference.

Quantic Dream has been designated in many news articles as a potential target for acquisition. It possesses a state of the art motion capture studio and falls under Sony's ethos of providing a back catalogue of titles for everyone. The possibility of David Cage presenting a new title at E3 2011 and continuing an exclusivity deal with Sony only points further to the thought that Quantic Dream may be acquired soon in the vein of how Media Molecule was purchased.

Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz (via Eurogamer), Guillaume de Fondaumiere co-founder of Quantic Dream said, "We basically sold to date approximately two million units. We know from the Trophy system that probably more than three million people bought this game and played it.

"On my small level it's a million people playing my game without giving me one cent. And my calculation is, as Quantic Dream, I lost between €5 and €10 million worth of royalties because of second-hand gaming."

65% of Heavy Rain players saved Shaun | VG247

Of Heavy Rain’s 3 million players, over one third failed to save the Origami Killer’s next victim.

In an infographic posted on IGN, Quantic Dream revealed that 74% of players finished the game. Only 33% did so keeping everyone alive, and only 4% have completed the game enough times to see all the endings.

While 95% started off strongly by winning the first action sequence, only 65% saved Shaun from the Origami Killer.

The game’s platinum trophy is clearly one of the least accessible, with just 3% of players nabbing it.

Este chiar super usor sa faci platina dar este un pic time-consuming. 97% nu au facut platina fie din cauza lenii sau a faptului ca nu i-a atras jocul asa de mult.

Iti trebuie nervi de otel sa rejoci de vreo 5 ori jocul. Pentru mine cel putin asa e. O sa trec si a doua oara prin el, dar nu nici nu m-as chinui pentru platina.

Nu trebuie sa termini jocul de 5 ori, doar trebuie sa refaci unele capitole. Parca era minim 2 walkthrougs.

Am vrut sa reiau jocul cu moveu' dar cand apas triggerul se blocheaza jocul pt 2-3 secunde. Ati patit careva? Tovarasul Google nu ma ajuta.
