Gran Turismo 5 supports Move, 3D | Games Industry | MCV
Sources reveal to MCV that recent delays to Polyphony’s racer are to allow implementation of new tech.
A source close to Sony has confirmed to MCV that the reason behind the more recent of Gran Turismo 5’s delays is the implementation of both 3D and Move compatibility.
The news helps to explain the somewhat bewildering claim made by the game’s chief designer Kazunori Yamauchi earlier this month that the game, which has been in development for several years, is still only 90 per cent complete.
Rumours of both Move and 3D compatibility first arose in April when Yamauchi confessed that Polyphony Digital is “always attuned to new technologies”, adding that “if there are display devices or peripherals that seem interesting, I'm sure we'll work to support them”.
The exact timeframe of Sony’s plans for Gran Turismo 5 remains a mystery, but an E3 reveal is certainly not out of the question.
UPDATE: Sony has provided MCV with the following statement – "We will be announcing further details of Gran Turismo 5 in June in Los Angeles during the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Until that time we cannot comment on rumour or speculation."

ceva imi spune ca o sa fie lansat dupa TDU2... ceea ce nu va mai conta oricum.
Ce legatura are cu TDU2 ?
Pai aveam de gand sa-mi iau GT5, dar sincer prefer sa-mi cheltui banii pe TDU2. But hey, its just me.
Doar ca nu pricep ce le ia atat sa-l scoata. Inteleg ca e mai bine sa lucreze la el mult ca sa iasa mai mare si mai frumos dar (cu o nuanta de off-topic) asa s-a intamplat cu Starcraft 2, le ia nspe ani sa-l scoata si cand am jucat beta am realizat ca nu are nimic interesant... acum sper sa nu se intample asa si cu GT5 pentru ca din cate vad e genial.
Dupa cum am mai zis, cred ca jocul asta era scos din iarna lui 2009 daca nu ar fi trebuit sa bage in el si 3D, Move support si ce mai vor cei de la Sony sa aiba jocul la lansare. Plus ca pe tot parcursul anului apar modele noi de masini de la diversi producatori. Tu nu ai intarzia cate putin jocul daca ai primi o suma frumusica de bani pentru fiecare masina noua care trebuie neaaaparat sa apara si in jocul la care lucrezi?Propun de acum sa va pregatiti pentru cate masini electrice si cate hibride o sa fie in joc. A declarat si Yamauchi treba asta anul trecut, plus ca din 2009 incoace au fost lansate multe multe masini ecologice cam de catre toti marii producatori.

Presupun ca si GT5 are 24H, ca in GT4.... Doar ca in GT4 nu se face noapte, sper ca la GT5 o sa se faca seara/noapte/dimineata.... Sau sa fie cursa de 24H online, sau nu neaparat 24H, dar ceva de enduranta online...

Does Asda know something no one else does? Have they leaked what will possibly be the biggest release in 2010? Whilst shopping this morning I came across a promotion for pre-orders in the next few months. Sitting there quite innocently and without fanfare was this:
Of course, it does little to confirm that the release of the much anticipated GT5 will be coming out in September 2010 for certain, but Asda (Wallmart owned) must get their information from somewhere. We will try and contact the head office in the UK and see if we can get more solid information on where they got the release guideline from. Even so, this beats the latest internet rumour of GT5’s release date by a clear 2 months so here’s hoping it’s correct!
