Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Development Complete - Criterion
Craig Sullivan, Creative Director at Criterion Games has this afternoon confirmed the development completion of the studios upcoming racer, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
On his personal Twitter page, Sullivan posted, "First day of vacation today. That means......game is done! Over to Microsoft and Sony for Cert."

What's the online play going to involve in terms of game modes? (Amanda Mould)
The main mode online is ‘Hot Pursuit’. This is for up to 8 players - you can choose to play as either police or racers. If the police stop the racers crossing the finish line, the police win. If the racers cross the finish line the racers win. There’s also a ‘Racing’ mode where you can pick any of the cars and tracks you have unlocked in the game. And finally, ‘Interceptor’, which involves a 1 on 1 race and chase.

What are going to be the biggest changes, aside from graphics, from this and the original Need for Speed Hot Pursuit? (Luke Harrison)
All of the cars, the environment, sound, and videos are all bespoke and created from scratch. Everything is new!

Will all the cars be "exotic" or will we still be able to get normal cars like the Supra and Skyline? Also, what do you have in mind that will be able to keep up with the Veyron? (Brian Calder)
The cars start out ‘hot’ and continue to get ‘hotter’. You can play as the Nissan GTR within the first 30 minutes of the game, and this is basically the new Nissan Skyline. There are 5 tiers throughout the game, cars are pitted against cars of a similar tier. The cars in and around that tier should be around similar speeds, therefore you should be able to win that event.

How many hours in total is the game? (TJ McBuff Iringe)*
This depends on what kind of racer you are. If you want to race every race for a medal then possibly around 10 hours. If you want to master the game both online and offline then you could be playing for a lot more time, possibly 30 hours.

Will the game emulate the fun and playability of Underground 1 and Most Wanted? (Christian Ward)
Yes.*We want the game to be as fun as possible. Most Wanted was a big success due to the police chases, so they have been included in Hot Pursuit.*We*hope that we've created that same sense of fun.*

Jocul se vrea a fi arcade. Ar fi fost o problema daca jocul era prea simulator.

LE:EA�s announced the demo for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit will go live tomorrow for Xbox Live and US PSN.The demo goes up on EU PSN on Wednesday.
The taster will mostly give players access to the new Autolog features for the racer; you�ll get access to a second track if you invite a second player.
The demo �ends� on November 9. We�re guessing that�ll be when the Autolog features get pulled.
