Why did Paarthurnax turned his back on his brother Alduin and decided to lend a helping hand to the mortals? Why fight his dragon nature ? Was it as he said, because of Alduin's false claim of godhood ? Or where the nordic legends that the goddess Kynareth intervened making him siding with the nords true ? Could the truth actually be in between ? Why is Paarthurnax a supposedly immortal being showing such signs of weariness ? What is the actual truth behind the term of Dovahkiin (Dragonborn) ? Why where the Akavir so obsessed with the dragonborn ?
Paarthurnax was indeed one of the dragons committing some of the worst atrocities against human kind, destroying settlements in the blink of the eye, in such a rampage he ended up having his attention being taken away by a maiden which did not run, did not loathe, saying just one thing, when faced with dead before the mighty dragon: "i forgive you, tormented soul". That caught the attention of the great dragon, giving in to curiosity and his sadistic nature he only spared the life of the maiden, ordering his followers to trow her in a cage and be kept close to him for fun, he wanted to break the maiden, but as they started to communicate more he found himself pitied more by the maiden for he did not know the joys of life only death cruelty and lust for power, even so she never hated, the maiden did not know feelings of hate, only having what you could refer to as childish hopes of understanding, in her eyes dragon, man, elf it did not matter they where all living beings worthy of respect and breathing, at first this irritated him, but as time passed on and there dialogues continued he ended up fascinated with the maiden, she slowly gaining space into his being, thus the great general one of the most ferocious dragons ended up being tamed by a simple maiden stepping down from his throne of skulls. Not long after a child was born a true dragonborn, a girl, this gave a new sensation to the mighty dragon, one which he was unfamiliar with... Though peace in there life was not to be eternal, because Alduin ended up suspicious, why did one of his most trusted generals ended up leaving his side ? Thus he asked that Paarthurnax should be spied, upon hearing what has transpired he was filled with rage. While Paarthurnax was away Alduin stormed his lair facing the defenseless maiden. By the time Paarthurnax came back he was greeted by Alduin with the maiden's body gravely wounded in a pool of blood, Alduin didn't even had a chance to thu'um, because the scene threw Paarthurnax in a fit of rage, a fit directed towards Alduin, a great battle ensued a battle which left great scars on both dragons, especially Paarthurnax, but even so Alduin was forced to retreat, after the battle Paarthurnax took one more look at the dying body of the maiden, it was then that she spoke her last words: "Promise me you shall not hate your kind for this, as he may be cruel he is still your brother, don't loose what you gained with me for hatred, don't render my life with you meaningless, despair not, cause our daughter lives, but promise me one more thing mighty dragon promise me that our daughter shall have a chance to live and be sparred of a life of fear under Alduin's rage." With that she gave her last breath, Paarthurnax then giving out one last thu'um, one that made the earth shake. Thus begins Paarthurnax's uprising and revolt against his brother thus from his lands he abolishes his old ways and creates the strong Akavir faction, a force actually created for the protection of his daughter which later became also renown dragon slayers, and also thus at Kynareth's request he also teaches the thu'um to the nords. After Alduin's bane, Paarthurnax said this to the Akavir: "Raise her, and raise her offspings well, the day when Alduin shall return will come and she alone might be the one capable of resisting his thu'um and deliver your salvation" after that he left them to fight his inner self, his lust for power. Thus the Akavir taking the warning seriously focused there attention on the now young maiden, focusing on her teaching and giving her mastery in various fields. Thus is how the first Akavir Miko came to be. In the bloodline of the maiden only one child was born per generation and strangely it was always female, not to mention that they seem to inherit some of the skills and techniques of the predecessors. In time with the danger of the dragons being gone due to the strifes of the races and struggles of power through Tamriel the importance of the Miko made her become a guarded secret even among the Akavir, to keep some of their roles and appearances in place they still declared themselves dragonslayers and warriors meant to serve the dragonborn, but they omitted any stories regarding the Miko (Note: this is how they ended up associating with Talos). Even among themselves as time passed on, only the most trusted and high ranking members knew of her location and where allowed to teach her the ways of fighting and the world, to preserve the bloodline when the time was considered right she would mate with one of the most distinguished members of the guild to secure the next generation. This did not change even after becoming the blades, the primary focus remained the same for the true leaders of the Blades, as for the task of being the elite guard of the Emperor turning out to be actually a front or secondary objective. This as its known carried on for thousands of years (Note: i also mean the longevity of the Akavir/Blades), till the Great War with the Thalmor, where the main Order of the Blades was destroyed and the the selected few gave there all to secure the safety of the Miko. In the end due to being chased by the Thalmor and also based on a vision by Tomoe, the current Akavir Miko, they decided it would be best to take refuge in one of there hideouts in Skyrim, but unfortunately just as they where trying to cross the border they ended up in the ambush layed down by the Empire against the Stormcloaks, being attacked by both Imperials and Thalmor all but the Miko where killed (Note: that's why the Thalmor also took an interest of the execution of Ulfric), she being taken as a prisoner and thus the story in the land of Skyrim beginning, with Alduin sensing Tomoe after breaking out of his imprisonment in time and coming to Helgen...
