Batman: Arkham Knight New Leaked Info Surfaces About Nightwing
Did a developer accidentally reveal the true identity of Arkham Knight?
Readers of the Batman comics will recognize Nightwing as one of Batman’s supporting characters and former Robin. In the Arkham-verse, Nightwing played a role as one of the characters who helped Batman bring down the Joker and his cohorts so it makes little sense that the Nightwing would suddenly switch allegiances and become one of the bad guys in the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight.
And yet, even so, one of the game’s developers—Zafer Coban—seemed to suggest that Nightwing would be one of the bad guys trying to take down Batman. Fans are suggesting that it was an accidental reveal of Nightwing as the Arkham Knight’s real identity, but it was likely just a slip of the tongue and a pure mix-up between the two characters.
Regardless of whether it was an accidental mix-up or an actual—if accidental—spoiler reveal, the question remains: Where are Batman’s allies in all of this?
You can watch the interview between Zafer Coban and 4playernetwork below. Skip to 4:06 for the pertinent bit.
In an interview with Groovey.TV, Conroy said:
"It was supposed to come out in January, we were working on it for a year and a half, it's still not done so it's going to come out next January but I know everyone's frustrated. The reason it's been delayed is because it's so awesome."
: Somebody tell Microsoft the Batman: Arkham Knight release date is a secret | VG247 .
The plot of Batman Arkham Knight was supposedly leaked on 4chan recently by someone claiming to have signed a non-disclosure agreement with Warner Bros. he was breaking by revealing details of the game.
That this alleged script was posted to 4chan should tell you all you need to know about its tenacity. However, let's break down some of the reasons why this script is not the real thing.
This year’s San Diego Comic-Con is giving you another way to play the Batman as he appears in Batman: Arkham Knight.
Believe it or not, what you see above isn’t some hot latex suit. What it is is a replica motorcycle jacket of Batman’s Iron Man-like armor. You read that right, it’s a functional motorbike jacket!
Robin seems to have been confirmed for Batman Arkham Knight, in the most unusual way.
This time, we recelve the confirmation via San Diego Comic-Con, surprisingly from Square Enix’s Play Arts Kai figures. Their exhibit has Robin sitting alongside Batman, and the card next to him clearly labels him as coming from Batman Arkham Knight. Interestingly enough, this figure also comes with the label ‘Pending Licensor Approval’, so the toy might not make it, but either way, Play Arts Kai has spoiled it.
The mask serves several functions. First, it covers every trace of the Arkham Knight’s identity. Second, it gives him a heads-up display, so that he can track down the actions of his private army, as they take over Gotham. This information is actually streamed inside his visor, and Rocksteady emphasizes that this gives the illusion that his eyes turn an inhuman red. Rocksteady words this description in such a way that they make it clear that he is a man, and that he is not a robot or android of any sort.
YouTuber CabooseXBL has posted a new video exploring the possibility that the Arkham Knight could in fact be a woman.
The shape of the hips and armour of the Arkham Knight suggest its possible and given the fact that he, or she, has an army of tanks to command, a voice changer wouldn't be too extravagant a purchase.
If the Arkham Knight is a woman, it would be similar to Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, the animated movie in which the Dark Knight was confronted with a new enemy and in trying to discover the motivations and actions, he discovered that the Phantasm is actually a woman by the name of Andrea Beaumont, once Bruce Wayne's love interest.
Another possibility is that Talia al Ghul, brought back to life by the Lazarus Pool, is on a mission for revenge over the death of her father, Ra's.
