Seems like reports on our forums are indicating Microsoft has a new (console) ban wave on Xbox LIVE ...
Right now we don't have a lot of details/information, but if you have a modified DVD firmware we suggest you stay off LIVE for now.

Da, citii și eu mai multe despre acest val de bans pe Live. Se pare că nu se mai ține cont dacă cineva a jucat on-line cu jocuri piratate. Și se mai pare că p�nă și acel firmware imbatabil iExtreme 1.4 nu mai ajută la nimic.
Cine a jucat GoW 2, Fallout 3, Fable 2, etc. piratate are liber la d�rd�ială și rugăciuni.

RROD Has Cost Microsoft a Pretty Penny

Am un feeling ca unul din importantele motive de a activa functia de copiere a jocurile de pe DVD pe HDD este chiar problema RRoD. In sfarsit cineva de la M$ si-a cumparat un termometru sau thermal camera si a vazut care sunt hot-spoturile in consola. Mai exact, s-a prins ca se incalzeste DVD-ul in draci, DVD care sta fix deasupra GPU-ului (despre care nu mai trebuie sa spunem ca fierbe). So, fighting fire with fire n-a mers... nici macar cu un amarat de heatpipe dus in partea cealalta a consolei, asa ca s-au gandit ei... "ce bine ar fi daca nu s-ar mai incalzi DVD-ul... in felul acesta scade si temperatura pe GPU, avem si loading times mai mici, scapam si de blocuri optice la garantie, si de problema cu diskuri explodate/zgariate cand e consola pe verticala". Good thinking, dupa aproximativ 3-4 ani... capete luminate, nu altceva

Se pare ca sansele sunt marite. Oricum, eu o tin asa de cateva luni si nu are nimic (bat in lemn ).

De cand cu noile unitati optice, nu am mai vazut astfel de situatii pe forumuri. Insa e adevarat, ai sanse mai mari de disk zgariat cu consola in pozitie verticala. Nu trebuie decat sa te gandesti ca pe orizontala mai ajuta si gravitatia. Pe verticala, totul tine de sistemul de "prindere" al diskului
